s the market in Saudi Arabia really open to foreigners now?
I’m curious about buying property in Saudi Arabia. I've read that it's opening up to foreigners, but I’m not sure what the process looks like or what areas are best for investment. Anyone got insights or experience?

I’ve been researching this a lot recently since a colleague of mine invested in a unit in Jeddah. The reality is, yes — things are changing. Properties for sale in Saudi Arabia are now open to foreign buyers, especially in key areas like Riyadh, Jeddah, and NEOM. The process has become clearer in the last couple of years. You still need a local lawyer or agent to help navigate registration, but ownership is now allowed in designated zones. Prices vary a lot — in Riyadh, a modern 2-bedroom apartment can go for around $300K, while coastal properties in Jeddah are higher. There’s been a push for developing luxury residences and mixed-use compounds with amenities, so expats are starting to show serious interest. It’s not as flexible as the UAE, but if you’re looking long-term, this market has real potential.
